    why don't you (5.00 / 1) (#2)

come out here and do that? I'm not here to interview politicians.  I'm here to observe the Iowans who will be voting and experience the process.

    I have before, and I guess I'll have to again (none / 0) (#5)

It's not like I haven't asked important people difficult questions before, and I did try to ask Obama something. I'm currently trying to get others to do it, many hand make light work and all.

However, it looks like - out of 300+ million people - I'm the only person capable of and willing to ask politicians difficult questions. So, I guess eventually I'll have to join the circuit and do it myself.

Wish you were there, although I seriously (none / 0) (#6)

doubt you are the only person on the face of the earth who would persist in asking the candidates difficult questions.  I'd like to have seen what BTD would have done, for example.

    Lawyer hat (none / 0) (#1)

Is it too much to ask that you put on your lawyer hat and go "cross-examine" some of the politicians? I'm not talking in the Cindy Sheehan/Mike Stark fashion, only during a designated Q&A session or other appropriate time.

You find a lie that a candidate has told or a flaw in one of their policies, and then publicly quiz them on that, get it on tape, and upload it to Youtube.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that to a Dem, choose the Republican you least like.

    Is that really so difficult?

    Our country... ugh! (none / 0) (#3)

Sorry, I admire Melloncamp's spirit, but after seeing that stupid Chevy commercial countless times  over the past two years, I'd throw up if I had to listen to that song in person.

    thank you! (none / 0) (#4)

i restrained my initial impulse, it hurt!

jeralyn, since you're "just" observing, think you could pick up a few nice steaks, and ship them to me?

    just kidding! :)
