    But I forgave him?  Not anymore.

    I was happy to see that he moved into 3rd place in February (was 2nd, I believe).  The second place finisher is the Campbell Brown placeholder show.  It's not even a good show, but it beats Keith.

    MSNBC is never going anywhere with their divide and conquer strategy.

    If a photo scanned from a Nov. National Enquirer. by a freeper can be sent to Drudge on a Saturday and then Drudge can post it on monday claiming it was from "the clinton camp" with no facts to back it up and then it's all over CNN, MSNBC, etc. with headlines like "Clinton smears Obama" - how the hell can we trust ANY of it?

    We have to do our own news analysis.

    BTW, I tend to watch Canadian news, and BBC news, far less biased on US affairs.

    i go to outside outlets.  i posted this earlier in the wrong thread, but we need checks and balances with the media; more orgs like mediamatters.  with a better framework to ensure accountability, we could avoid altogether this game of trying to find out which network is fair in a given election season.

    When Drudge first posted the story about that photo he mentioned he'd acquired the email - so he is depending on others who SAY the photo came from the Clinton camp.

    At any rate, several messages I've read say that the photo has been on one website since September:

    and that Obama permitted a documentary video sold at Amazon for PR in connection with that trip to Africa in 2007.

    After posting here in reply to a note about scanning a photo for Free Republic, I looked around and found the first mischievous use of that photo (before Drudge posted about it) and have given details at http://andrys1.blogspot.com

    Also wrote to Jake Tapper's blog about it since he was very concerned about the source.  It certainly does not appear to be Clinton-camp-originated and is more likely just a result of many emails circulated after a scanned copy of that photo was posted to a much-read site before Drudge posted his 'news' about it.  They could have used the one from the African site, it seems, but apparently someone preferred the usual false context some sites enjoy.

    Did anyone see CNN interviewing themselves earlier about whether or not they are biased?! It was fantastic. I laughed myself silly. of course they said that was outrageous, they are totally fair. GLorida Borger, Jack Cafferty and John  King, being interviewed about it by Wolf. LMAO

    what's disgusting about keith is that he's tried hard to trump up this faux-edward-r-murrow mystique as if he's oh-so-objective-and-journalistic while becoming the very opposite of that.

    with chris matthews, at least there's never been any pretense that he's anything but a frat boy idiot.

    because I've had it with so many family and friends, and my spouse is such a mediator . . . which is just what we need much of the time. But he knows how horribly Clinton has been treated, so he just simply can't find a way to keep this peace. Solution: Don't talk about it. (And he is having a very hectic time at work in recent weeks, too.) So I found a place to vent, and who knew that Jeralyn and BTD would become marital therapy?

    did you hear about the incident in Pennsylvania today? A stabbing with a kitchen knife over the race. A Clinton supporter stabbed an Obama supporter. They were in-laws. Unreal. I have friends that I am not speaking to. Luckily my boyfriend is largely apolitical. He votes but that's about it.

    Two of my closest friends are in your boat. She's for Clinton and he is tepidly for Obama. There is a great cartoon at Correntewire. http://www.correntewire.com/

    Am I right in concluding that he's trying to say that referring to Barack Obama as Barack Hussein Obama is "fear mongering"?  I haven't watched MSNBC at all since I'd seen the first inklings of anti-Clinton misogyny, so I'm really wondering if this is true, since I caught the tail end of Keith O's comment.

    Also, my girlfriend noted that the splash screen/ad for the debate depicts Clinton with exaggerated/highlighted wrinkles (she said it made her look "old" compared to Obama's picture).  I haven't seen it...is this true, too?

    why does the media have complete amnesia when it comes to Barack having called Hillary "Bush-Cheney lite"?  It astounds me.  It absolutely astounds me.

    for Clinton, is that these bozos now want to shower all their advice on Obama. Chuck Todd recommends using Clinton's previous debate tactics to defend his lead (because it worked so well for her?)

    Then again, do they recommend that Hillary attack Obama as he attacked her when she had the lead? Of course not, if she were to attack the Untouchable,  it would destroy the Democratic party and her reputation!

    And: what is implicit in everything Obama and the media says about Clinton and Iraq is that she is no different than Bush... Obama Rules!!!

    Make sure you read this article, and also forward it, or give it due attention.  It's just so well written.  

    Jeralyn or BTD, I wish you could write a post on it.  Media has shameful double standard on coverage of Hillary Clinton (by: Thomas V. DiBacco)

    Women are the nation's caregivers -- from childhood that nurturing trait has been stressed. And Hillary Clinton's passionate pursuit of universal health care is in the best tradition of that quality, as illustrated by her poignant remarks near the close of last Thursday's debate:   ... [snip]

    Shame on the media. In terms of grace, proposed programs, energy and enthusiasm, knowledge and abilities, and executive demeanor, Hillary Clinton can hold her own among any of the candidates in both parties -- and she does so in high heels.
