Time for analysis, with your help, please

I'm in-between some major treatments, but I woke up today with a clear mind and some energy. I'd like to start adding some analysis from the margins (I remain marginalized, not simply by choice, but by circumstance) concerning the candidates.

Like me or not, I'm an excellent analyst. You may not agree with my conclusions, but my research methods remain professional. Yes, my diaries will reflect my ideas... but here's a chance to get involved with examining some issues and areas we generally express concern, or lack of concern, about.

More on the flop

I want to write some diaries with analysis concerning these leaks, Department of Justice, Bork as a chief Judicial counsel for Romney, the two candidates over the next few weeks.

If you have questions or links, feel free to post them in this diary. If you don't want to post them, my contact information is in my profile. Feel free to give your opinions and/or concerns, also. You'll certainly find mine emerging over the course of these diaries.

(Please don't spam attack me... I'm still getting over a spam attack.  I love Spam, Spam Spam, Spam, Spam, Baked Beans and Spam, but there comes a point of overload.)

I'd like to post the first within the next week... I'm feeling almost human, and will be until July 5, God (by whatever name, Yahweh, Allah, Asdzą́ą́ Nádleehé, Zeus, Wotan, Mahimata, Ahura Mazda, and any others left off with no offense meant) willing.

I'm looking at some recent info, actions, etc. So I'll try my hand at analysis, and make some tentative statements and conclusions, and then write about what I may do this year.

I have to look at Romney and Obama as candidates and actors, combined with their choices.

I'd like to ask for input beforehand from everyone here, especially those with whom I have had serious disagreements, to wit ABG, about the positives of your candidate, and links to articles like the Greenwood one...I don't mind if they are old links, or old gripes. My email addy is in my info.  I won't quote anyone who emails my unless they state positively I can do so-- a statement such as "Feel free to quote me," or "You have permission to quote me."

With the latest information, the leaks from someone, and the appointment of Bork as the judicial advisor, I have some thoughts, but I want to gather information.  I want to write some diaries on these areas.

Again, this is not about whether one likes my posts or not. This concerns analysis of information, which I've don throughout my career, military, academic, poker playing, and farming.

I hope, Jeralyn, you don't mind me asking for information and links through this thread. I'm not at my peak abilities, so some legwork and links would be appreciated. My deadline for these diaries is July 5... major things happening afterwards that will again sideline me.

Any help, from people I have offended to people who tend to agree-- will be appreciated, and the karmic rewards will be there, as well as my diaries. Now, to post this as a diary, also!

    What I would like some more (5.00 / 1) (#5)

analysis of is what Glenn describes here:

Over the past several months, including just last week, I've written numerous times about the two glaring contradictions that drive the Obama administration's manipulative game-playing with its secrecy powers: (1) at the very same time that they wage an unprecedented war on whistleblowers, they themselves continuously leak national security secrets exclusively designed to glorify Obama purely for political gain; and (2) at the very same time they insist to federal courts that these programs are too secret even to confirm or deny their existence (thereby shielding them from judicial review or basic disclosure), they run around publicly boasting about their actions. Just over the past month alone, they have done precisely this by leaking key details about Obama's commanding role in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, drone attacks that have killed allegedly key Al Qaeda figures, sophisticated cyber-attacks on Iran's nuclear program, and the selection of targets for Obama "kill list": all programs that are classified and which the White House has insisted cannot be subjected to judicial review or any form of public scrutiny.

They want it both ways, and the result is that, as Glenn points out, we have a very distorted view of a lot of what is going on in that arena - and I daresay that this technique is brought to bear in other areas, as well, for largely the same reason.

that are leading to theories concerning precisely what you're talking about... it also happens that the points you're referring to reflect Japanese history from the Shogunate through the end of WWII, with some differences, of course, as a comparison/contrast. An Eastern-Western examination of approach to public versus private sphere for the actor and actors, if you will. The Shogunate and Japan following the Meiji Restoration (been studying this time period as I've been lying around) has some surprising parallels to Washington, DC and how it's functioning...all the way down to rich merchants sticking their noses in!

I'm not going to psychoanalyze Obama, but some of my social psychology studies will be a part of it. Yes, one can evaluate his actions using social psychology, and attempt to determine either subsequent actions, perhaps even underlying motives-- not necessarily conscious, but motives from early socialization, exposure to the norms of Indonesia at an early age, etc.

But some were distressed by discussion of current affairs do I started a subgroup. For that purpose. Current issue is U.S. drones and "collateral damage."  So far, all but me are o.k.  w/U.S. using the drones to kill "terrorists" anywhere and the no. of others harmed to be weighed.as to cost/benefit.
