U.S. Releases Documents Seized From Bin Laden Raid

The U.S. today released documents seized during the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

Osama bin Laden was fixated on attacking U.S. targets and pressured al Qaeda groups to heal local rivalries and focus on that cause, according to documents the United States says were seized in bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan and released on Wednesday.

The documents are available here.

The release contains two sections. The first is a list of non-classified, English-language material found in and around the compound. The second is a selection of now-declassified documents.

I'd trust Hersh FAR more than either the military or the executive branch. Much better history of telling the truth. As much as we may get pissed at Sy, think him an addled geezer now, duped...the military brass and White House, almost by definition at this point, are worse. Far worse. And every second we lose sigh of that, we all lose. Soldiers, individually, are decent and honorable and have histories of such. The institutions these poor humans serve under...forget it, they have nothing but disgusting histories of dishonesty and abuse of employees. That's the rub. Trying to separate our love of individuals from our disgust of institutional power. Very tough thing to do when you, like I do, have family who've put their lives on the line.

Such is mortal existence in a free country. Peace out, mi amiga.

... when we learn that Osama bin Laden loved the "Batman" movies, was a big fan of Danielle Steele and Harold Robbins, and once wrote a treatise on Jack Kerouac's "On the Road."

And -- Oh! Oh! OBL believed in the theory of manmade climate change, providing yet another nonsensical reason for wingbats to dig in the heels.
