It's Official: Biden-Harris Take Back America

It is so heartening to see the streets filled with youth and people of color cheering and dancing in cities across America.

Congratulations, America. You won. The witch is gone.

Let's all take a few days to breathe our sighs of relief.

With the country besieged by white nationalism, a virulent pandemic and a shocking economic collapse, Joe Biden coolly and calmly pried us loose from the potentially deadly grip of a would-be fascist despotism. And in the course of doing so, he proved himself to be the strong, self-confident and principled leader we need right now.

No doubt, we have a lot of work ahead of us. But right now, let's just rejoice.

    as a person.

Many progressives are very focused on policy.  But I weigh the personal too.

The issue of whether to govern as  Moderate or a Progressive is moot.  There are not enough votes in Congress for a Progressive Agenda now.   Agendas will have to be incremental for a the time being.

On Nov 10 the Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments on ACA. In your opinion, will the decision be announced prior to the GA Senate runoff elections?

    Parent

    Absolutely not. (none / 0) (#34)
by Peter G on Sun Nov 08, 2020 at 06:06:02 PM EST
The easiest, unanimous decisions at the Supreme Court arising out of cases argued in November are rarely done in time to be released before March. In January we something see a handful of cases from the October sittings. This case, alas, will not be "easy" or "unanimous." Although it should have been, that is, an easy unanimous dismissal of this ill-conceived challenge.

Unfortunately not, I am thinking, for two (none / 0) (#40)
by Peter G on Sun Nov 08, 2020 at 09:04:33 PM EST
reasons:  (a) it was brought by the State of Texas, not by the U.S. govt/DoJ (as it hardly could have been), so the Biden Administration would not be in a position to drop the case; and (b) although the DoJ has taken the despicable position that the ACA without an enforceable coverage mandate is wholly invalid and unconstitutional, and the Biden DoJ could have changed that position if the case had been postponed until after January, I do not believe they could or would try to change the U.S. govt's official position on the case almost three months after argument and submission of the case. That would be pretty much unheard of, I think.

should try to change the government position, even if unsuccessful. Allowing the Trump DOJ's position to stand for the record would appear incongruent. It is unlikely to change the Court's ruling, but a well-argued , constitutionally-based position differing from Trump's legal absurdity would set a new tone---professionals have ridden into town.

    This is funny

QAnon People Still 'Trusting The Plan,' Mastering The Denial Stage Of The Grieving Process

Of course, not all of the anons are that excited. Some are confused as to why everyone seems to think Biden won even though, obviously, Trump won in a landslide.

Wow, this gaslighting is next level...

I mean, right now I really don't know what to think. The gaslighting is so massive that it's hard to see how Q and Q+ can counter. They had 4 years to arrest all these people, now time is short. Fight it in court, but what about public opinion and optics... People called the play before, but seeing it like this, it's like wow... Trump won in a landslide, but right now it feels like Biden won... It's insane... A nuclear bomb of truth has to drop to counter this mess.... It will be interesting to see what happens now for sure... rambling away here, cause I am really confused about the plan at this point...

I just talked to my brother.  He called to say happy BDay.  He was once all in for Trump.  His children and grandchildren still are.  He was telling me some of the looney "versions" of what is happened now coming from them today.  Including some very good Q stuff about secret plans.

He said they sound scared.  Poor things.

I think it's a small miracle this has been so peaceful and joyful.  Let's hope it holds.

    From TOWNHALL

The only way to get that is to bring witnesses to testify, who participated in the scam and know explicit details.

Trump must offer $1 million each to the first 100 Democrat participants in the stealing of the election who come forward. We'll create 100 instant Democrat millionaires for hard evidence, photos, videos and testimony that leads to a Supreme Court decision overturning this election.

Along with $1 million to each of 100 witnesses, they each also receive full Department of Justice immunity. But if you don't come forward first, everyone else who participated is going to prison for life. Because the stealing of a presidency is treason.

Keep in mind $100 million is "chump change" to GOP billionaire donors. There's that much in loose change on any given Saturday night at Mar-a-Lago. Michael Bloomberg spent $100 million just to try to win Florida. What's $100 million for a group of GOP billionaire donors to ante up, in order to save America, American exceptionalism and capitalism?

Get Sheldon Adelson on speed dial.

Mr. President, do it now. This minute. Offer a reward so big it gets the media's attention and everyone's imagination. $100 million is good. Perhaps a quarter-billion is even better. The rats always desert sinking ships. The Demo-rats will come out of the woodwork to become instant millionaires. Plus, full DOJ immunity to testify where the bodies are buried.

Get busy, Mr. President. The clock is ticking. Time is short. You can't win at the Supremes unless you have hard evidence and testimony from the participants in the scam to steal the presidency.

Make the announcement. Scream it from the highest mountain. "Who Wants to Be an Instant Democrat Millionaire? And Get Full Immunity." Or go to prison for life.

That's an offer no one can refuse.
