Kucinich Announces 2008 Presidential Bid

Dennis Kucinich, whom I think has just about the best stand on criminal justice issues of any of the presidential contenders, has announced he will run for President again in 2008.

A long shot? Very. But his voice is an important one and I'm glad it's going to be heard again...provided the national press decides to include him in their coverage.

will pretty much ignore him unless he was to somehow generate some grass roots support at which time they will crush him

"We were expected to do what we said we were going to do - get out of Iraq."

We need him to put on the pressure.

Beg to differ, although my views don't differ much from those of the congressman, I believe that he is way too dogmatic, automatic and predictable in judging events. We desrve better than that.

You give me a politician and an issue and I'll tell you what they'll say about it.

The difference is that everyone else will say some namby-pamby kumbaya crap that everyone will smile and nod at but nobody on earth actually agrees with, and Dennis will say what you and I really think.

Kucinich boosts illusions in Democrats (none / 0) (#7)
by Andreas on Sat Dec 16, 2006 at 05:27:33 AM EST
Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich announced Tuesday he is once again seeking the presidential nomination of the Democratic Party, preparing to repeat in 2008 the role he played in 2004 as a "left" prop for a thoroughly right-wing, pro-war party.

In announcing his candidacy, Kucinich voiced concern that the Democratic leadership's continued support for the occupation of Iraq was discrediting the party and placing it on a collision course with tens of millions of voters who repudiated the war in the elections.
