    Sympathy (5.00 / 1) (#5)
by Fredo on Sat Dec 30, 2006 at 09:31:43 AM EST
Saw them perform on this tour in November, 1969 in San Diego, a few weeks before the MSG appearance.  Mick Taylor was on "lead" guitar (Brian Jones had died), but he never got much respect from the band and didn't last long.  Note Lennon in the audience.

One of the best live guitar performances IMHO (none / 0) (#1)

is Keith Richards in 1969 doing "Sympathy for the Devil" at Madison Square Garden.

Although my brother said some people think it was Mick Taylor on lead guitar...

Get yer ya-yas out.  Great tune.

Try as I might, I can find no sympathy for our own real live devils Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al.

    Get off My Cloud.
