DEA Chief Leonhart Resigns

Good news today. Michelle Leonhart is resigning from the DEA. (I'm sure she'd prefer the word retiring.)

Now if we could only retire the DEA.

In related news, a 19 month old baby who was maimed in his crib during a a botched drug raid will get $1 million. His nose and nipple were blown off.

Where the total disregard for basic human rights and even rational thought fails, a sex scandal suceeds. Ain't that always the way.

Not really good news.  It's still the same game just with a new player.

BTW, anyone in the slammer for facilitating firearms transfers to Mexican drug gangs?  Or letting veterans die on endless VA waiting lists?

Bringing in a new clown doesn't mean it's no longer a circus.

"Responding to a proposal by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) to freeze VA health-care spending and cut veterans disability payments to help reduce federal spending, American Legion National Commander Jimmie L. Foster said his organization steadfastly opposes the initiative."

Well, you gotta do something to keep those bleeding hearts Liberals from "giving away the farm."

Hey, I got an idea; how about more tax cuts for the uber-rich? Instead of the veterans waiting in line for their services, they can sit in front of the hospitals in their wheelchairs while all that extra money comes trickling down on them.

And much of homeland security. ATF.  Other parts of DOJ like COPS.  HUD. I'm sure other agencies could be pared back as well.

Hillary Clinton can make it plank number one to repeal drug laws, as Rand Paul has openly made clear his beliefs in this matter.

    I wouldn't count on it. (none / 0) (#8)

Hillary Clinton is a 'law n order' Democrat. She already has too much baggage. She won't let being "soft on crime" be another one. I predict Hillary will do absolutely NOTHING to get marijuana off Schedule I or do anything to end this war on American citizens. This is the number one reason I refuse to rise up and embrace Mrs. Clinton coronation like most here. I will support anyone other Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.
