During one segment of RNC analysis I heard on the car radio, I thought I heard Sirius in the background. But since I was listening to the news on Sirius, I couldn't tell if it was a commercial for a Sirius music station, or if a Sirius music station was being played in the convention hall.
I know nothing about radio station licensing, but I wonder, why doesn't Donald Trump just buy a Sirius radio station? He could call it Trump Radio. His campaign could choose what songs to play on his station at any given time, and for spontaneous or live events, text the D.J. at the appropriate moment. The song would then broadcast while playing on that public station through the arena's speakers. As long as Trump paid whatever fee Sirius charges for publicly airing a Sirius station and Trump Radio in turn paid the royalty fees to the artists they play, the artists might have less ability to protest.
